Mark Trahan, PhD, LCSW, attended the University of Houston, Graduate College of Social Work, for his masters and doctorate. He is trained in the most effective therapies for couples and individuals. He has been certified as a Gottman Method Couples Therapist and has also trained in Emotion Focused Couples Therapy. He has experience working with individuals using Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Solution Focused Therapy.
He sees individuals and young adults for problems with mood, life transitions, grief and loss, and addiction. He sees couples with challenges related to conflict, infidelity, addiction, parenthood, lifestyle differences, lack of common interests, and emotional loneliness. Dr. Trahan is a skilled speaker and trainer, and has been awarded a teaching fellowship by the Graduate College of Social Work at the University of Houston.
He facilitates workshops and seminars on intimate partnership and speaks to groups.
